Residents Allege High-Handedness During Anti-Encroachment Drive in Jagadhri’s Ansal Town

Jagadhri (Haryana), April 23, 2026: The authorities of the District Town Planning Office, Yamuna Nagar, undertook a massive anti-encroachment drive in Ansal Town, Sector 20, Jagadhri, on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a colony resident, Narinder Dhiman, it was the “high-handedness” of the officials, as no prior notice was served to any resident. He added that the action was taken when residents were resting due to the heat wave.
He further said, “About 80% of the encroachments were removed. However, encroachments allegedly done by some police officers and government officials were not removed during this anti-encroachment drive. No encroachment was removed in HUDA Sectors 17 and 18, Jagadhri, where VIPs reside, and these two sectors are allegedly fully encroached without any fear.”
