RESERVATION Policy schedule released by PTU

Kapurthala, July 11, 2013: Punjab Technical University (PTU) released the Reservation Policy Schedule of Punjab Government for the academic session 2013-14 for degree courses.

According to the policy, the reservation will be applicable to the Engineering and Technology courses including M.B.A., M.C.A. and B. Pharmacy courses. The seats will also be reserved for single girl child, two or more girl children, Tsunami affected and patients of Cancer, Aids and thalesimia. This is the first time that the govt. has included cancer and aids patients in reservation policy. 

For availing the reserved category seats, in the girl child category, the students have to attach an affidavit duly attested by first class magistrate. In patients category, the students have to enclose a certificate of any National Medical Institute like PGI or AIIMS. As per the notification by PTU, this reservation policy will be applicable on B.Tech., Fee waiver scheme, B.Tech. lateral entry scheme, M.B.A. and M.C.A from second round counseling. And applicable on B.Arch, B.Phamacy, M.Tech and M.Pharmacy from first round of counseling.
