Resentment prevails among Para Medical Staff and Health workers

Ferozepur, February 11, 2014: Responding to the unrelenting agitations performed by Para Medical Staff and Health workers of Civil Hospital Ferozepur, regarding the pending salaries of employees, Dr. Y.K Gupta, Civil Surgeon today assured the agitated workers that, their demand for the budget for the pending salaries has been forwarded to Health and Family Welfare Department, Punjab and he is certain that this issue will soon be resolved at the earliest possible.
He further informed that the department of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab had sanctioned the budget of Rs.1,54,60,000 for the employees under specific head of Ferozepur district. He assured that the budget for the salaries of employees under head, will soon be sanctioned.
It is pertinent to mention that the Para Medical Staff and Health Workers, working at Civil Hospital, Ferozepur have not received their salaries for the last three months and it has become difficult for them to both ends meet.
