Republic Day Inspires Us to Internalize the Values enshrined in the Constitution and the Resolve to Serve the Nation: HIRD Director Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan

Nilokheri, January 28, 2026: A flag hoisting ceremony was organized at the premises of the Haryana Institute of Rural Development (HIRD), Nilokheri, on the occasion of India's 77th Republic Day.
MLA from Nilokheri, Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi, along with the HIRD Director, Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan, hoisted the national flag and saluted the tricolor.
In his address, MLA Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi said that such institutions are the backbone of the country, where the ideas of rural development and social change originate. He praised the training and welfare efforts undertaken by the institute and extended Republic Day greetings to all.
Addressing the gathering, the HIRD Director, Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan, said that Republic Day inspires us to internalize the values, duties, and the resolve to serve the nation, as enshrined in the Constitution.
He said that the HIRD is not just a training center but a laboratory for nation-building, from where trainees emerge to play a significant role in the service of society and the country. He said that discipline, dedication, and a spirit of service are the hallmarks of the institute. He urged every officer, employee, and trainee of the institute to work with national interest as their top priority.
Assistant Professors Sandeep Kumar, Sushil Mehta, Wazir Singh, along with Saurabh Arora, Mahendra Singh, Rajneesh Kumar, and other officers and staff were present on the occasion. The program concluded with the national anthem.
