Students of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran welcomed the monsoon Season with ardour by celebrating Teej Festival at the college premises.
Mehandi tinting, traditional hair styling, floral jewellery making, boliyaan face-off and Giddha were the highlights of the fervour.
Renowned Punjabi Actress, Seema Kaushal and Radio Jockey Jassi also joined the festivity which comprised of Sawan Queen Competition where Mutiyaars wore traditional attires and jewelleries and won titles like Sawan Queen, Talented Mutiyaar, and Best Dressed Mutiyaar.
The campus was well decorated with cultural artefacts like swings, Bangle stall, and Marigold flowers along with traditional delicacies.
“Teej, a festival named after the red coloured rain bug which pops up during monsoon, is a way to make students closer to the facts related to the rich culture and tradition of India” said Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran while extending their best wishes to the faculty and students.
