Rohtak, April 6, 2024: Daughters are the guiding lights of a family. They possess the capability to awaken social consciousness within society, advance community causes, and scale great heights in their careers. It is essential that girl students achieve their rightful place in both their careers and their lives by cultivating technical skills alongside communication skills. These views were expressed by Sunit Mukherjee—a renowned motivational speaker and Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at MDU—during a special lecture program held on Monday at Maharani Kishori Jat Kanya Mahavidyalaya.

Delivering an impactful lecture on the topic "Communication Skills to Be a Community Leader," Chief Guest Sunit Mukherjee noted that women are currently providing effective leadership across various sectors, including rural development, social welfare, legal awareness, management, science and technology, administration, and healthcare. He shared examples of numerous influential community leaders, encouraging the students to draw inspiration from their lives and work.

While imparting the mantra of "Communicate with Confidence," Sunit Mukherjee advised the students to regularly read newspapers, update their general knowledge, and acquire skills in ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and AI (Artificial Intelligence). He specifically underscored the critical importance of communication skills in achieving one's career goals.

Earlier, the event coordinator—Sophia Jakhar, a faculty member in the Department of English—introduced the invited speaker. She remarked that this lecture would prove instrumental in helping students develop their communication skills.

In her address, Principal Dr. Rashmi Lohchab said that the lecture program had been organized with the specific objective of capacity building for the students. The event was attended by students from the B.A. and B.Com. Programs, as well as faculty members, including Rekha from the Department of Commerce.

Sharing their experiences, the participating students described the lecture program as both highly useful and deeply inspiring.
