Renowned Hindi Poetess Dr. Jaspreet Falak Honored at Bhutan–India Literature Festival
On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, the Bhutan–India Literature Festival - 2025 was held under the aegis of the Krantidhara Sahitya Academy in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. The two-day festival brought together 68 eminent scholars from across India along with leading literary figures of Bhutan.
Ludhiana, September 28, 2025: On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, the Bhutan–India Literature Festival - 2025 was held under the aegis of the Krantidhara Sahitya Academy in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. The two-day festival brought together 68 eminent scholars from across India along with leading literary figures of Bhutan.

During the festival, 13 books by distinguished authors were released, including the second edition of 'Kanvas ke Paas', a widely acclaimed anthology of poems by Dr. Jaspreet Falak of Ludhiana. The event marked a significant step in showcasing the global reach of Hindi literature.
A major highlight of the event was the Kavi Sammelan, presided over by Dr. Falak. Through her verses, she enthralled the audience with profound reflections on human emotions, diverse experiences of life, and social consciousness. Other participants also enriched the festival with poetry, stories, plays, and research presentations.
In the serene and inspiring atmosphere of Bhutan, the festival emerged as a confluence of literature and culture, where words and ideas transcended boundaries. The enthusiasm of the audience further elevated the spirit of the occasion.
In recognition of her exceptional contribution to Hindi poetry and literature, Dr. Jaspreet Falak was conferred the “Bharat–Bhutan Sahitya Ratna Samman 2025.”**
Expressing gratitude to the Krantidhara Sahitya Academy and the organizing committee, Dr. Falak said, "Such festivals dissolve boundaries, connect hearts, and bring Hindi to the global stage with renewed prestige.”
