Rehearsing and getting into every little detail about Putna helped me bring authenticity into the character: Udeshna
Udeshna.

Sony Entertainment Television’s mythological offering, Yashomati Maiyaa Ke Nandlala, outlines a refreshing narrative beautifully highlighting the unbreakable bond between a mother and son. Weaved from Yashoda’s (Neha Sargam) point of view, it gives viewers a visual treat through her journey and her love for her ‘natkhat Kanha’. In the coming week, viewers will witness high-voltage drama with Putna’s entry, a rakshasi that will create havoc and terror in Gokul.

Disguised as a beautiful and divine looking young woman, Putna reaches Gokul and pretends to enter Nand bhavan at the request of Vasudev, to bless Lord Krishna. Yashoda, a happy & trusting mother invites her into the house. Born with a single purpose to kill Lord Kirshna, the viewers will witness Putna searching for Neelmani to kill him, thus, heading towards Nand Bhawan.

Elated to have joined the show, Udeshna, essaying the role of Putna, says, “I am delighted to be a part of Yashomati Maiyaa Ke Nandlala. Putna is one of the most intense characters to play on-screen. She comes with a dual personality which is little tricky at times to play but is also unique about the show. Switching the mode of emotion every now and then becomes very challenging but is also like an adventure.”

This week will be a visual treat for the viewers with Pootna’s entry and Neelmani’s Shashti ceremony. Pootna will create havoc in the village at a time when villagers are very happy celebrating Neelmani’s Shashti ceremony. I will try my best to bring authenticity in the character,” she adds.
