Jalandhar, December 22, 2025: The Red Ribbon Club of Innocent Hearts College of Education organized a poster-making competition on the theme “Choose Life, Not Drugs”. All the Red Ribbon Club members wore red ribbons and created informative and descriptive posters highlighting the harmful effects of drug addiction.

The posters effectively depicted physical health hazards such as damage to the liver, lungs, and brain, along with psychological impacts including anxiety, depression, and loss of concentration. Through creative visuals and messages, the students conveyed a strong anti-drug awareness message.

Red Ribbon Club Incharge Tarunjyoti Kaur stated that the poster-making competition was organized to sensitize adolescents about the dangers of drug vulnerability and to encourage them to share any suspicious concerns without fear.

In the competition, Mehak Sharma and Khushi Sharma secured the first position, Karan Behl bagged the second position, while Shaveta Soni achieved the third position. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh congratulated the winners and emphasized that tobacco and alcohol are often considered gateway drugs, as they are usually the first substances consumed by adolescents, leading to more severe addictions later.
