Rayat Bahra Professional University Hosts ‘Gaurav Sammaan Samaroh 2026’; Governor of Himachal Pradesh Kavinder Gupta Graces as Chief Guest

Hoshiarpur, September 2, 2026: Rayat Bahra Professional University (RBPU), Hoshiarpur, organized a grand felicitation ceremony, ‘Gaurav Sammaan Samaroh 2026’, celebrating the outstanding achievements of students across academics, sports, NCC, and co-curricular activities.

The ceremony was graced by Kavinder Gupta, Governor of Himachal Pradesh, as the Chief Guest. Avinash Rai Khanna, Former Member of Parliament (BJP), attended as the Guest of Honour. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed on campus by Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chairman, Rayat Bahra Group, and Dr. Chander Mohan, Vice-Chancellor, RBPU. Upon arrival, the Governor was accorded a formal reception by the police administration with a ceremonial guard of honour, salutes, and police band performance.

During the event, student achievers were felicitated with awards and certificates for stellar performances in sports, NCC, essay writing competitions, and academic merit.

Addressing the gathering, Governor Kavinder Gupta encouraged students to embrace excellence, discipline, and perseverance, stating, "Discipline, hard work, and ethical values form the foundation of true success. When students actively engage in sports and co-curricular pursuits like the NCC, they build the character required to lead the nation forward."

Chairman Gurvinder Singh Bahra appreciated the dedication of the students and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to youth empowerment: "Our priority at Rayat Bahra is to provide an empowering environment and ample opportunities for young talent to excel across every domain, both inside and outside the classroom."

Former MP Avinash Rai Khanna congratulated the achievers and urged them to remain value-driven and committed to responsible citizenship. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chander Mohan commended the awardees for bringing laurels to the institution.

Reinforcing its social commitment to a healthier tomorrow, the university also unveiled an official 'Poster Against Drugs', followed by an institutional pledge where students and staff resolved to stand united against substance abuse. The program concluded with the presentation of mementos to the guests, followed by the National Anthem.
