Gulzar Singh Ranike, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister Punjab on Monday hands over appointment letters to newly selected 63 Veterinary Inspectors in Animal Husbandry Department.

Chandigarh, June 23, 2014: Gulzar Singh Ranike, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister Punjab today reiterated the resolve of Punjab Government towards the expansion and strengthening of Allied Farming with a focus on increasing Net State Domestic Product vis-a-vis increasing rural self-employment.
Presiding over a function where he handed over appointment letters to newly selected 63 Veterinary Inspectors in Animal Husbandry Department, Ranike said that SAD-BJP government envisioned growth by promoting diversification beyond wheat-paddy cycle to bring out farmers from the debt trap besides strengthening their economy. He said it is imperative for farming community to take full advantage of the Allied sector options to achieve greater economic prosperity through cultivation of pulses, expansion of dairy related products and setting up of fish farms.
Congratulating the newly recruited inspectors, Ranike called upon them to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication in their respective fields. The Minister asked the Inspectors to join their duties immediately as they will get a month long training regarding field work including stock maintenance, Semen Banks and Polyclinics etc. so they are better equipped with practical experience.
