Chandigarh, November 19, 2019: The Cooperation and Jails Minister S.Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has termed the complex process to visit Gurudwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib in District Narowal (West Punjab, Pakistan) as the biggest impediment for the Nanak Naam Leva Sangat and has demanded from the Union Government that the process be eased keeping in view the sentiments of the Sangat.

In a press communique here today, S.Randhawa appealed to the Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi to intervene personally in the matter and issue orders for making the process simplified in order to enable the Sangat to visit Gurudwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib. The minister also demanded the waiving of the conditions pertaining to the police verification and applying in advance. He also said that the condition of passport must also be lifted and the issue needs to be taken up with the Government of Pakistan.

S. Randhawa further added that after the news of Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan tweeting regarding waiving the passport condition got out, the confusion has increased for the Sangat as when they began to fill the online forms they encounter the column asking for passport details. The minister has appealed to the Prime Minister to direct the Union Home Ministry to do away with the passport details column and if the condition is still in force then take up the issue with his Pakistani counterpart. S. Randhawa further said that most of the Sangat belongs to the advanced age groups who don't have passports but they have a desire to visit Gurudwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib.

The minister further elaborated that the Home Ministry has imposed unnecessary conditions such as verification etc. on the Sangat applying for visiting Gurudwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib. Whereas the Indians going to Pakistan via Wagah and other countries don't have to encounter such issues.

GURU NANAK'S PHILOSOPHY AND MESSAGE CASTS A MYSTIC SPELL AS TWO DAY FLOATING LIGHT & SOUND SHOW CONCLUDES
Chandigarh, November 19, 2019: The audience bathed in Guru Sahib’s glory as two day light & sound show aptly showcased the life and philosophy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji at the serene environs of Sukhna Lake.
During the two days, the atmosphere around Sukhna echoed with the message of universal love, peace, communal harmony, social equality, compassion, humanity and religious tolerance as preached by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
The experience of one God, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent and beyond all form and name was brought alive in the through these shows.
The shows at Sukhna Lake were jointly organised by the Punjab Government & UT Administration as part of commemoration the 550th Praksah Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.
The Floating Light and Sound Shows are unique initiative as part of series of celebrations planned by Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government to celebrate the 550th Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
During two days, thousands of people from different age groups and all walks of life thronged Sukhna Lake, to witness the magnificent floating light and sound shows. The site was completely jam-packed due to assemblage of enthusiasts to watch the mega event on the second day.
The 45- minute outdoor light and sound shows unfolded into a multiple part story, immersed in a beautiful symphony of Colourful visual projections, Advanced laser techniques. The beautiful voiceover with combination of colourful visual presentations, ultra-modern laser techniques and unique acoustics mesmerized audience by showcasing life journey and teachings and philosophy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.
Now the set of floating Multi Media Show moves to Husaniwala in district Ferozpur where four shows would be organised for two days, after that shows would be organised for four days in district Tarn Taran and for two days in district Gurdaspur.
