Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana organised its Alumni Meet and ‘Dhoom 2026’ Fete with great enthusiasm and warmth on the college campus. The event aimed at bringing together former students of the institution, honouring them and rekindling their bond with their alma mater.

Ludhiana, March 14, 2026:  Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana organised its Alumni Meet and ‘Dhoom 2026’ Fete with great enthusiasm and warmth on the college campus. The event aimed at bringing together former students of the institution, honouring them and rekindling their bond with their alma mater.
On the occasion, Rajinder Kaur, Managing Director, GS Radiators, graced the event as the Chief Guest, while Kanwaljeet Kaur Kalsi, former Principal of Ramgarhia Senior Secondary School for Girls and Vice President of the Alumni Association, attended as the Guest of Honour. The guests were warmly welcomed by Principal Dr. Ajit Kaur, Prof. Neeru Khurana (Secretary, Alumni Association) and Prof. Rattan Deep Chawla (Organiser). The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
A large number of alumni gathered on the campus and nostalgically revisited their college days, meeting their teachers and reliving cherished memories. On this special occasion, distinguished alumni were honoured. Gunwant Kaur, a proud alumna who completed her education at the college in 1975, was felicitated in recognition of her long association with the institution. Two alumni who are presently serving as faculty members in the Commerce Department of the college, Prof. Aarti Kapoor and Prof. Jasmeet Kaur, were also honoured.
The event was further enlivened with colourful music and dance performances. To make the occasion more memorable, the college also organised ‘Dhoom 2026’ Fete, which featured a variety of attractive stalls such as book stalls, numerology, garments and jewellery, along with several fun-filled activities. Food stalls and exciting games were arranged for the participants. Additional attractions such as mehendi, nail art, tattoo making, a selfie corner and song-on-demand added to the festive spirit. Around 50 lucky draws were conducted and prizes were distributed among the winners.
Speaking on the occasion, Ranjodh Singh, President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, fondly recalled the remarkable journey of the college and said that the contribution of students has played a significant role in making the institution’s journey memorable. He added that seeing alumni return to their alma mater after many years fills the college family with immense joy.
Several dignitaries including former Principal Prof. Jaspaul Kaur were also present on the occasion. Alumni from different batches who have excelled in diverse fields such as education, theatre, cinema, banking, hotel industry, business and academics shared their experiences and emphasised the importance of education. Many credited their teachers and the institution for their success.
In her concluding remarks, Principal Dr. Ajit Kaur expressed gratitude to all the guests and alumni and said that the college will continue to organise such programmes in the future to remain connected with former students and enable them to guide and inspire the younger generation.
