Sony SAB’s Itti Si Khushi is winning viewers’ hearts with a compelling storyline. Rajat Verma who essays the role of Virat Verma, has recently undergone a significant style transformation that adds a fresh layer of depth to his character on screen. While he initially appeared as a carefree, cool young guy in easy-going casuals, his look has now transitioned into something far more mature and inherently “manly.”

As the character grows through experiences and responsibilities, Virat’s styling has evolved too. Clean cuts, softer tones, and neatly put-together outfits now define his character and mirror his inner maturity. Interestingly, the inspiration behind Virat’s current look comes from Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic appearance in Mohabbatein, with the styling team drawing from SRK’s understated elegance, minimal yet impactful, calm yet confident, to shape Virat’s evolved persona. From softer fabrics to muted colours, every styling choice reflects the phase Virat is currently in, a man facing serious responsibilities and tough situations. His look has moved away from youthful ease to a more composed appearance, showing how Virat has grown emotionally and now carries himself with greater maturity and depth.

Speaking about his new look, Rajat Verma shared, “When I started playing Virat, his clothes reflected who he was at that point, carefree, slightly impulsive, and living in the moment. As the character grew and the story progressed, the styling naturally became cleaner and more mature, just like his mindset. When the team discussed the shift, the first reference that instantly came to my mind was Shah Rukh Khan from Mohabbatein. The new styling brings a certain gravitas, and it has helped me tap into a more grounded, evolved version of Virat. It’s a version of him that I enjoy discovering, and I hope the audience feels that evolution just as strongly as we do while creating it.”
