Mumbai (Anil Bedag): Visionary filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, who redefined Indian cinema with global blockbusters like Baahubali and RRR, is now gearing up to script another cinematic milestone with his upcoming mega film, Varanasi. Starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, the grand action-adventure has already become one of the country's most anticipated films.
Rajamouli has now revealed that filming of all the movie's massive, high-voltage action sequences has been completed. The remaining emotional and story-driven scenes are expected to wrap up by September or October.
He also clarified that Varanasi has been filmed with a vision created specifically for the IMAX experience from the very beginning, rather than being artificially adapted for the format later.
Meanwhile, Rajamouli is equally excited about taking the grandeur of Indian storytelling to a global audience through the animated project Baahubali: The Eternal War. Scheduled for a worldwide release on April 7, 2027, Varanasi promises audiences another spectacular cinematic experience filled with breathtaking visuals, powerful emotions, and world-class storytelling.
