Tarn Taran , November 4, 2025: Punjab Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO today said that Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has revealed his casteist (manuwadi) mentality through his derogatory remarks against former Union Home Minister late Buta Singh.
In a statement issued here, the Cabinet Minister said, "Raja Warring’s comments are a violation of the spirit of the Indian Constitution", adding that such remarks expose Warring’s mindset towards the Scheduled Castes of the country.
He further said that the Congress Party has always been anti-Dalit and has a long history of opposing Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He reminded that even Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Pratap Singh Bajwa had once made an insulting remark towards a Dalit legislator.
Harbhajan Singh ETO said that the Scheduled Caste community of India will forever remain indebted to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who granted them the right to equality through the Constitution, otherwise leaders like Raja Warring would never have allowed Dalits to rise and progress.
