Such poisonous language is not mere politics, it is a direct insult to the dignity of the Sikh community, to the sacred legacy of our Gurus and to the democratic values of India.
Ludhiana, February 6, 2026: National BJP leader, Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan said that Rahul Gandhi’s disgraceful and irresponsible remark calling a Sikh Member of Parliament a “traitor” has exposed the dangerous mindset, arrogance and deep-rooted prejudice within the Congress leadership. Such poisonous language is not mere politics, it is a direct insult to the dignity of the Sikh community, to the sacred legacy of our Gurus and to the democratic values of India.
Grewal wrote on his official social media platform X that branding a patriotic Indian as a “traitor” simply because of a political shift is shameful, reckless and unforgivable. This word is not casual rhetoric, it questions a citizen’s loyalty to the nation. The country cannot and will not tolerate such toxic arrogance and divisive thinking. Rahul Gandhi has crossed every limit of responsible public life and has lowered political discourse to a disturbing level.
Grewal told that the Congress party has once again revealed its true face, a party driven by arrogance, confusion and desperation. Instead of introspection over its repeated failures and rejection by the people of India, Congress leaders are resorting to insults, provocation and cheap politics. This is not leadership, this is political bankruptcy.
He said that the Sikh community has made unparalleled sacrifices for the unity, sovereignty and honour of India. Any attempt, direct or indirect, to insult Sikhs or question their patriotism is an insult to the entire nation. The people of India clearly see through this divisive agenda and will respond decisively.
Grewal further stated that Congress has a long history of betraying farmers, delaying development and misleading the nation. While the present leadership of India is focused on reform, development and empowerment of every citizen, Congress continues to spread negativity, obstruction and confusion.
He strongly and unequivocally condemned the behaviour, language and mindset displayed by Rahul Gandhi and the Congress ecosystem, stating that such arrogance and disrespect have no place in a civilized democracy and will only accelerate the political decline of the Congress party.
