Rahul Gandhi applauds Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar, January 17, 2023: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on his visit to Lyallpur  Khalsa College Jalandhar, applauded the contribution made by the college in educating women and in promoting sports in the region. 

On his visit to the college during his Bharat Jodo Yatra, Gandhi was very much impressed with the achievements of the college in Sports Academics and Co-curricular activities. He was briefed by the college Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra on activities of the college. 

Dr Samra particularly mentioned that the college had won the university sports championship for record 24 times and also that its playgrounds had given a number of Olympians to the country. 

Gandhi acknowledged the achievements of the college in diverse areas. The occasion was graced by the presence of senior Congress leaders, Deepinder Singh Purewal, Vice-President College Governing Council and senior teachers of the college.
