Sony SAB’s Hastinapur Ke Veer brings the world of the Mahabharata to life, exploring the lives and journeys of its iconic characters. The show is set to introduce a new character, Radhe (Vankatesh Pande) who is the son of Radha (Richa Soni) and Adhirath (Aanand Dev). He lives with his parents in a small village.
After waiting for a child for years, Radha and Adhirath finally have Radhe. He shares a close bond with his parents. When Radha begins to grow weak during her 11-day fast, Radhe cannot bear to see her struggle. He climbs a mountain and uses a chakra to reflect the first ray of the sun towards her. This helps her complete her fast. The villagers become suspicious after witnessing this extraordinary act. Radha tries to dismiss their doubts by saying that the chakra was old and there is nothing extraordinary about her son.
Who is Radhe exactly, and why does he possess these special powers?
Talking about playing Radhe, Venkatesh shared, “I am very excited to be joining Hastinapur Ke Veer and playing a character of Radhe. What I really like about Radhe is his bond with his parents. He is a very caring son and when he sees his mother struggling, he does not think twice before doing whatever he can to help her. At the same time, there is a lot of mystery around him and his abilities which makes the character even more interesting to play. Radhe’s bond with the Pandavas and Kauravas will play an important role. Radhe’s arrival is not just a new chapter it is a change that will affect many lives.”
