He has been included in the India-A squad for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced this selection for the upcoming ODI Tri-Series involving Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. On this tour, the India-A team will be led by Tilak Varma, with Riyan Parag serving as the vice-captain. The squad also features 15-year-old Bihar youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who has been given a major opportunity by being included in the India-A squad for the very first time. This white-ball series is scheduled to be played in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, in June. Following this, the India-A team will also play red-ball (multi-day) matches against Sri Lanka-A in Galle.
