Punjabis looking at the AAP government in Punjab
Punjab has been facing many long-pending issues. The canal water issue is lying pending over the decades. The issue of transfer of Chandigarh to Punjab is again in the limelight. Unemployment is also there in the state. People of this border state are hopeful that the newly elected state government led by the AAP under the chiefministership of Bhagwant Mann will resolve these issues at the earliest possible time to ensure complete normalcy and prosperity in the state. Meanwhile, the newly elected chief minister Punjab Bhagwant Mann has already announced to bring some reforms in the education sector especially with regard to education being provided by private schools so that the parents should not have to bear heavy expenses on education of their children. The state government is about to take some decisions with regard to fees structure, books and uniform in private schools in the time to come. At the same time, people of the state also expected that the state government should come out with a policy to regulate consultation fee charged by doctors in private hospitals and specially for carrying out the operations or surgeries and also rent of rooms in private hospitals. The state government should also act wisely with regard to the status of Illegal colonies, Illegal buildings etc and frame a new housing policy of developing new townships in the outskirts of the cities.

Apprehensions of early elections to civic bodies
The AAP has come into the power with a thumping majority in Punjab. Now, there are appreciations that the state government will go for early polls of civic bodies such as municipal corporations and municipal committees. In-fact, the AAP will try to encash the situation as early as possible. It is strongly believed that the early elections to civic bodies will be in the favour of the AAP instead of the opposition parties.

Right time for the BJP to make `corrections’
As the elections to civic bodies in Punjab are due next year followed by parliamentary elections in 2024. Therefore, BJP needed major changes in the organizational structure. BJP has to make concrete efforts to make its basis stronger if it wanted to show its more existence across the state. No doubt, BJP is considered as the most disciplined political party compared to other ones. Still, it in the need of more experienced and visionary leaders as far as the politics of Punjab is concerned. The party is to decide whether or not it to run its affairs alone or with the support of regional parties in the future. It is the right time to make all these decisions to show its strength in the coming elections to civic bodies and the parliament as well.

Congress high command astonishing masses
On being asked by the Congress high command, the PPCC president Navjot Singh Sidhu has already forwarded his resignation to the party high command. However, the party high command has not taken any follow-up action so far. As a result, everyone is astonished. People are eagerly waiting for the new PPCC president. Meanwhile, Sidhu is once again seen holding meetings with some party leaders. Perhaps, Sidhu is busy in making new strategies for the future.

SAD keeping strict eye on the activities of the AAP
There are indications that the SAD will also soon start raising its voice against the AAP government in Punjab. It is perhaps waiting for the right time to act upon. The party leaders are keeping a strict eye on all the activities of the AAP government in Punjab and the chief minister Bhagwant Mann.
