Vivicam Entertainment (P) Ltd to launch it’s maiden Punjabi venture by entering Pollywood bandwagon with ‘Yaaran Da Katchup’.

Chandigarh, October 18, 2013: Vivicam Entertainment (P) Ltd is all set to launch it’s maiden Punjabi venture by entering Pollywood bandwagon with ‘Yaaran Da Katchup’ that also happens to be the perfect melange of Bollywood and Pollywood.  It’s splendid cast features comedians Mehar Mittal, Jaswinder Bhalla, B.N. Sharma, Rana Ranbir; TV serial and Bollywood actor Anita Hassanandani, OM Shanti Om fame Yuvika Chaudhary, Fukrey fame ‘Choocha’ Varun Sharma, Pollywood beauty Manreet Kaur, glamorous model from Shimla Shagun Jaswal, famous yoga trainer and theatre artist Anil Juneja, singer Hardy Sandhu and TV serial actor Ranjan Sehgal.
The story of three friends and their friendship, Yaaran Da Katchup is a youth centric film which will see an instant connect with the audience recalling their own fun days. Abhay Baiju Chhabra’s direction, Yaaran Da Katchup has various facets to it, to boast about. First and the foremost is that 70 percent of the film is being shot in Thailand. Vikram Bansal, director, Vivicam Entertainment said, “It will be a visual treat for the viewers to see Punjabis who are known for their  bigheartedness and larger than lifestyle in an avatar which has not been explored in Punjabi films till date.”
Adding to it, director Abhay Baiju Chabbra who had been an associate director in various Prakash Jha’s productions has also directed numerous TV serials such as Life Ok’s Gustakh Dil and Sapno Ke Bhawar Me, Color’s Na aana is des Laado, Sahara One’s Niyati etc says, “The USP of the film is it’s storyline and the various characters written in it. The gaps that we’ll try to bridge through this film are genuine characters that appear so real and easy to relate to.  For that our main focus was choosing the cast accordingly. When the characters appear to be real, even comedy comes naturally. Also unlike any other Punjabi film, we had an acting workshop for the actors for the entire past week in Chandigarh. Irfaan from Mumbai was taking the workshop."
The script of the film is written by theatre artist Rubina. The various action sequences in the film which will be taken care by the renowned action director from South, K Ganesh Kumar. The music of the film is by newcomer Gurnazar.
