Chandigarh, March 28, 2014: A spokesman of Finance department, Punjab today strongly denied in news published in a section of Press regarding financial crisis in Punjab and described it completely misleading imaginary and bereft of facts.
The spokesman stoutly denied that Punjab government had received any communication from Reserve Bank of India for stopping fund flow. He said that in fact normal payments and receipts were being carried out on continuous basis throughout the month of March 2014 and payments totaling to Rs.1921.85 crore had been made from March 18 to 27 and were still continuing.
