To chalk out plan of action against “anti-trade and industry policies” of Punjab Government

Ludhiana/Amritsar, October 31, 2013: A very important meeting of members of working committee of Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal, District mandal units office bearers, prominent trade and industrial associations representatives from all parts of Punjab will assemble  on November  17 at Model Gram Charitable Trust Community Centre, Kochar Market Chowk, ESI Hospital Road, Near Bharat Nagar Chowk, Ludhiana to discuss and chalk out a plan of action against “anti-trade and industry policies” of Punjab Government.

According to the Mandal’s state president Amrit Lal Jain, state general secretary Sunil Mehra and state secretary Mohinder Aggarwal, the issues to be discussed included e-TRIP, Advance VAT tax, VAT refunds, single-stage VAT regime, hike in processing fee, enhancement of VAT assessed cases for scrutiny from 3 to 6 years, raids, detention of goods, forcible collection of VAT, levy of property tax, advance consumption power charges (ACD) by Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. and closure of many industrial units at Mandi Gobindgarh, Khanna and Ludhiana.
