Punjab NGO Expo 2026 Concludes in Ludhiana, Emphasises Collaboration for Social Development

The Punjab NGO Expo 2026, organised by CityNeeds with the District Administration, Ludhiana, as the Official Partner and Municipal Corporation as Venue Partner, concluded today at the Indoor Stadium, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between NGOs, government, institutions, industry, and citizens.

Ludhiana, February 2, 2026: The Punjab NGO Expo 2026, organised by CityNeeds with the District Administration, Ludhiana, as the Official Partner and Municipal Corporation as Venue Partner, concluded today at the Indoor Stadium, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between NGOs, government, institutions, industry, and citizens.
The second day commenced with the inaugural address by Himanshu Jain, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, who lauded the initiative for promoting transparency, volunteerism, and structured social engagement across districts. He highlighted the role of such platforms in strengthening citizen participation and enabling effective grassroots solutions.
The day featured Impact Honour Hour – Institutions, presided over by Smt. Rashi Hemraj Aggarwal, BJP, recognised educational institutions for encouraging experiential learning and community engagement in alignment with the National Education Policy 2020.
Subsequent sessions included Impact Honour Hour – Forums by Neeru Katyal, Municipal Commissioner, Ludhiana and Amarpreet Singh, Founder, The Global Sikhs, acknowledged community forums driving collective action. In the Impact Honour Hour – Influencers, ACP Traffic, Gurdev Singh and Dr. Bishav Mohan, Professor and Head of Cardiology and Chief Cardiologist Cum Coordinator, Hear Heart Centre recognized social media influencer for social awareness and civic responsibility. The Expo concluded with a closing ceremony celebrating the collective efforts of NGOs, partners, volunteers, and organisers.
The second day also hosted a series of well-attended workshops on consumer rights awareness, waste management, child abuse prevention, volunteering, and CSR implementation from policy to ground impact, providing practical insights for citizens, NGOs, and corporates alike.
Over two days, the Punjab NGO Expo 2026 successfully brought together 20,000+ visitors, 2000+ students of 40+ institutions, 70+ NGOs from across Punjab, Industries, Social Clubs, Religious Organizations, Forums, Social Media Influencers creating new opportunities for CSR partnerships, volunteering, institutional collaboration, and community-driven solutions, while positioning Ludhiana as a leading hub for inclusive and responsible social development.
