Punjab News/Punjab, on threshold of industrialisation: Mittal

Chandigarh, December 20, 2013: The Punjab is on the threshold of industrialization as the major players in the field of industry have shown keen interest to invest in Punjab; at the same time the Punjab Government is providing all the basic ingredients to facilitate the industrial boom in the state.
This was stated by Madal Mohal Mittal, Industries Minister, Punjab after assuming charge ceremony of Shakti Sharma as Chairman of Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC) here today.
Interacting with the scribes, Mittal said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, the state government has successfully organised Progressive Punjab Investors Summit to showcase the potential and opportunities in the state for industry growth. He reiterated that the Punjab Government is committed to provide a much needed impetus to the small and medium industries. Terming the industries a back bone of the economic health of the state, he said that Shakti Sharma is fully acquainted with the problems and demands of the industry.
