Chandigarh, November 28, 2013: The Punjab Government today has announced to hike Dearness Allowance
(DA) by 15% for the state government employees/pensioners who are getting their pay on the basis of unrevised scales.
Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the Punjab government said that the rate of DA has been enhanced from 151 to 166% of the unrevised basic pay with effect from 1st January, 2013. He said that the amount on account of enhanced dearness allowance would be paid cash from 1st July, 2013.
He further said that enhanced DA would be paid cash with pay/pension effect from 1st November, 2013 and dues from July to October would be paid in cash. Payment of pending dues from January to June would be
decided later.
