A 19 member delegation of Pakistan led by Lt Gen Hamayun Bangash called on Dr. Charanjit Singh Atwal, Speaker, Punjab Legislative Assembly at Punjab Legislative Secretariat at Chandigarh on Tuesday.

Chandigarh, November 26, 2013: A 19 member delegation of Pakistan led by Lt Gen Hamayun Bangash called on Dr. Charanjit Singh Atwal, Speaker, Punjab Legislative Assembly at Punjab Legislative Secretariat here today to have acquaintance of the procedure of passing the budget adopted by the state government. The delegation would also study the implementation of fiscal schemes in the state and transfer of budget between state and the Union Government.
Dr. Charanjit Singh Atwal, Speaker Punjab Assembly welcomed the delegation. The Speaker also apprised the members of delegation Hamayun Bangash, Air Vice & Marshal Hamid A Khawaja, Maj Gen & M. Mansha, Brig & Zahid Zaman, Brig K.H. Nasir, Brig & Naeem Ahmad Beig Sikandar Javad, Brig & Naveed Mushtag, Col & Shahnawaz, Col & Tahir Kardar and Shabnam Jahangir about various kinds of constitutional proceedings and legislation work being conducted in the state assembly.
Lauding the role of Former Army Officers in strengthening the bilateral ties between two countries, Dr. Atwal said that Non-Official organisation can play a major role in maintaining peace. And Mutual understanding between the countries.
The Speaker felicitated the delegation members with mementos and shawls. Mr. Ved Parkash, Secretary, Punjab Legislative Secretariat, Gen & Mrs. Moti Dar, Gen & Mrs. Tej Kaul, Brig J.L.Kaul, Brig & Mrs. Anil Malhotra, Gen & Mrs. Chadha, Col A.R. Khan, Mr. & Mrs. Satwant Johal, Gen K.S Bajwa, Col & Mrs. B.P.S. Gill and all members of the IPSI’s Chandigarh Chapter were also present on the occasion.
