Punjab News/Narang assures, no stone to be left unturned to make government schemes reachable to common man

Ferozepur, December 23, 2013: The Chairman of District Vigilance and Inspection Committee and Member of Parliament, Rattan Singh Ajnala, presided over a meeting today at Administrative Complex, Ferozepur and instructed officers and members of various Public Welfare Committees for the upliftment of poor and needy people. He said that the needy and deserving people should be guided and encouraged properly so that they could attain benefits from these schemes.  
He informed that a sum of Rs.159.45 lakh has been sanctioned to build three hundred twenty seven new houses and to renovate eighty two old houses under Indira Aawas Yojana. The link road are being updated and renovated under Pradhan Mantri Sadak Gram Yojna and thirty nine schemes are under progress with an estimated budget Rs.801.70 lakh under Excelrated Rural Water Supply Scheme.
Member of Parliament, Ferozepur Sher Singh Ghubaya also informed on this occasion that under Indira National Social Assistance programme, an assistance of Rs.200 per month is given to all elderly persons living below the poverty line. He also informed that he has distributed the grants worth Rs.18.16 crore from MPLAD Funds for the betterment of the district.
Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Manjit Singh Narang assured that no stone will be left unturned to make these schemes reachable to common man.
