In final of 4th World Kabaddi Cup between India and Pakistan, the winner of last year host India again retained the title of cup fourth consecutive term by trouncing its arch rival Pakistan with a thin margin of 48-39 points.

 

Ludhiana, December 14, 2013: In fully electrified final of World Kabaddi Cup between India and Pakistan, the winner of last year host India again retained the title of cup fourth consecutive term by trouncing its arch rival Pakistan with a thin margin of 48-39 points but the final has proved one of the toughest match of the 4th edition of world cup as desired by the spectators. The winner team was awarded with a cash award of Rs. 2 crore along trophy while the runners up Pakistan got a cash prize of Rs. 1 crore with trophy. Both the best raider and stopper were from India got Preet Tractors.   
From the start to the end the match remained a nail biting as there was a very thin margin between the duo and it was remained equal various times but after short break in second half, Indian players registered a lead, which could not be broken by Pakistan. The final witnessed high voltage of excitement with the performance from both sides while Indian players took on the Pakstani team in a neck to neck competition.
As the players from both the team raided each others territories the enthusiastic crowd surcharged the chilling winter night here at the Guru Nanak Stadium. Balbir Dulla, who has been declared best raider secured 16 points while Neena and Gurmeet Mundian of India secured 6 points each while in stopper line Balbir Pala secured 7 points whereas from Pakistan line raider Mohammad Chishti secured 9 points followed by Lala Obeydulla and Captain Babar Gujjar by securing 6 points each. Till first half both the teams were giving stiff competition to each other but by and large the Indian players dominated the match by keeping ahead of their Pakitani rivals.
Such was the enthusiasm in the match that the Chief guest of the tournament and WEST Punjab’s Chief Minister Mian Shabaz Sharif along with Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal besides other dignitaries enjoyed the full match.
