Punjab News/Fateh Rally postponed due to inclement weather conditions

Chandigarh, December 17, 2013: The Shiromani Akali Dal President and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and Kamal Sharma President of the Punjab unit of BJP have jointly decided to postpone the ‘Fateh Rally’ which was to be held on December 21 at Jagraon. Badal and Sharma said that the rally would now be held in February and its date would be announced soon.
In a statement released from the party head office here today, the SAD Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that the weather forecast for the next three days and forecast of rain on December 21st is the reason for postponement of the rally. Keeping in view the weather forecast it was realised that it will be too inconvenient for the public to travel in thick fog and rainy conditions. Apart from it, it will also be difficult for the NDA leaders Narinder Modi to travel by air, so keeping in view all the conditions it was decided to postpone it to the February 2014. He said that new date would be announced soon.
