Punjab News/DA arrears to be credited in bank accounts of pensioners/family pensioners

Chandigarh, November 19, 2013: The Punjab Government today informed that arrears of Dearness Relief for the month of July to September, 2013 which is to be paid in cash shall be credited by the respective banks in the Bank Accounts of the concerned pensioners/ family pensioners.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the Punjab Government said that the 8 percent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) payable to the state government pensioner/ family pensioners was due from January 2013.

He said that the increased DA would be affected from July 1, 2013, was enhanced to 80 percent from present 72 percent of the basic pay. He further said that the enhanced DA would be paid along with the pay from 1.10.2013.
