Jalandhar, December 17, 2013: The Border Security Force have seized 10 kilograms of narcotics worth Rs.50 crore in the International market from Mohinder outpost of Amritsar sector on India-Pakistan International Border.
“The BSF troops deployed on Border in the area heard some suspicious sound near Border Security fence. Troops on duty immediately rushed towards the spot from where sound was heard and fired 2 rounds to foil any ill motive of Anti National Elements. Later BSF troops heard sound of 8 shots from the direction of International Boundary”, said the BSF DIG (Punjab Frontier), RPS Jaiswal, in a statement today.
He added, “Immediately the area was cordoned and in the morning search was carried out. During search 10 packets of heroin were found inside a plastic pipe near Border Security fence”.
