Punjab News- Yuva Sammelans to be held in different parts of Punjab on September 28-29

Jalandhar/Ludhiana, September 24, 2013: To mark the 150th Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the Swami Vivekananda saard shati samaroh samiti Punjab will organise the Yuva sammelans in different parts of Punjab.

According to the Samiti’s Convener Vijay Singh, sammelans are being organised in 7 cities of Punjab namely Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Bathinda, Pathankot, Amritsar, Mohali and Ferozepur.

He told that the Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash singh Badal is the chairman of the committee. This objective behind these sammelans is to bring the youth nearer to the ideas, values and philosophy of great National youth icon Swami Vivekananda.

Vijay Singh further told that this is the 4th major programme which is taking up by the Samiti regarding the Swami Vivekananda 150th Birth anniversary programme. Prior to this Shobayatra programmes in December, Suryanamaskar programmes in February, Vivekananda Sandesh yatra iin August and Bharat jaago daud programmes has also been organised by the samiti. He has urged the youth to participate in the sammelans in a great number.

Discussing on the past achievements, He said that samiti organized Bharat Jago Yuva daud in 231 places during this month, where the 54,923 participants participated and during the yuva sandesh yatra in august 2013 total 44,983 participants took part on the spot. He appealed to all to participate in the coming yova sammelan.
