Ferozepur, October 10, 2013: A memorandum was presented to Manjit Singh Narang, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur by a deputation from Guruharsahai led by Vardev Singh Mann, Halqa Incharge Akali Dal Guruharsahai.
Vardev Singh Mann said, a demand has been put before the deputy commissioner to make a stoppage of Pooja Express Sri Ganganagar to Jammu train.
On this occasion, he was accompanied by Rohit Vohra and in good number of representative of various organisations and residents of Guruharsahai.
Mann said, the population of Guruahrsahai is more than 2 lakhs and the people of the area have to face great difficulty for travelling at a long distant places. He said, after a long time, the demand of the area has been accepted by starting the new rail from Sri Ganganagar to Jammu to which the stoppage of Guruharsahai has not been given.
Mann on behalf of the people of the area demands for stoppage at Guruharsahai apart from opening of reservation counter as there is a great resentment among the citizens. www.cityairnews.com
