Chandigarh, October 1, 2013: Directorate of Governance Reforms, Punjab has conducted three Days Specialised e-Governance Training Programme  on ‘e-Governance Project life Cycle’.

This workshop was organised for Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADC), Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Chief Medical Officers (CMO), District Development Panchayat Officer (DDPO), District food and supply controller  (DFSC) , District Social Security Officers (DSSO) of each District of Jalandhar  Division who are expected to lead/play crucial role in e-Governance implementation of State Government.

Programme was organised to equip them with skills and knowledge on e-Governance Project life Cycle for State level e-Governance initiatives and e- Governance projects being implemented in the state under National e-Governance Plan. This training was organised in coordination with National Institute of SMART Government (NISG), Hyderabad and was attended by senior officers/ Officials from various District Offices of Jalandhar Division.

Rajnish Malhotra Head State e-governance Mission Team (SeMT), Punjab welcomed distinguished.  He laid focus on importance of e-Governance Project life Cycle in various e-Governance projects.   Veerraju Naidu, Senior Project Manager from NISG briefed Participants about National e-Governance Division (NeGD) Projects being implemented for the benefits of Citizens.

During the three days programme, participants were provided knowledge on Introduction to e-Governance & National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), e-Governance Project Development Lifecycle, Services Identification and Prioritization, Government Process Reengineering, Understanding e-Governance Applications, Understanding Business Models, Introduction to Public Private Partnerships (PPP), Data Digitization and Quality Management, Approach for managing people change in e-Governance projects, Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Request for Proposal (RFP) development.

The specialised Training Programme on e-Governance Project life Cycle was conducted by Surender Singh Rana, Sashi Dhar  and Lovneesh Chanana from NISG. Distinguished officers also performed in various activities on e-Governance Project Life Cycle.  Punjab SeMT Team Led by Manpreet Singh, Senior Consultant, Programme  Management gave live demonstration of services provided under e-District Pilot project for the state.

This event was concluded by Veerraju Naidu, Senior Project Manager  from NISG. During his concluding address, he shared his perspective on the significance of e-Governance Project life Cycle.
