Punjab News- Punjab Government permits 20 academic holiday for faculty of medical education department: Bhagat

Chandigarh, September 17, 2013: In a major relief to the faculty of Medical Education Department the Punjab government has accorded 20 academic holidays as well as permission to participate in national and international conferences.

Disclosing this here today, Chunni Lal Bhagat, Minister for Medical education said that notification in this regard has been issued.

He said that the faculty of all the government medical, dental and Ayurvedic colleges could avail this facility. He said that the faculty could get 20 academic holidays with full salaries. He said that the department said that for the purpose of research and adapt to new technology the faculty could avail the facility to participate in the national and international conferences at the government expense. He said that could attend the national conference on government expense only once in a year and international expense once in two years. He said that faculty could also pursue crash course during their participation in conferences. He said that the faculty member attending conference must have to read paper.
