Chandigarh, October 1, 2013: Partap Singh Bajwa President Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) today felicitated people on eve of Gandhi Jayanti.
In a statement issued here he said that christened as father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi is remembered in the world for four major virtues. They are non-violence, truth, love and fraternity. "By applying these four virtues he brought freedom to India. He said that non-violent 'Satyagraha' by Mahatma Gandhi forced the Britishers to leave India", he added.
Bajwa said that Mahatma Gandhi was source of inspiration for all generations to come. He said that Congress party has adopted secular character having influenced by philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi.
He appealed to people to adhere to principles and values laid by Mahatma Gandhi and live with harmony.
