Punjab lost to Bengal in Elite –D Group League Match of Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2021-22 

Mohali/Chandigarh, October 1, 2021: Punjab State Men’s Under 19 Years Team had played their second Inter-State match for Vinoo Mankad 2021-22 against Bengal Cricket Association U-19 at ECIL Ground, Hyderabad.
Punjab won the toss and elected to bat first.  Batting first Punjab CA U-19 were bundled out 158 runs in 47 overs. Mayank Gupta scored 38 runs off 60 balls with 4 boundaries and a six, Krish Bhagat scored 28 runs off 73 balls with 2 boundaries and Manroop Singh scored 26 runs off 26 balls with 2 boundaries and a six were the highest run-getters for Punjab. Amrit Raj Upadhyay took 4 wickets giving away 25 runs , Debopratim Halder took 3 wickets for 26 runs and Ravi Kumar 2 wickets for 22 runs were the most successful wicket-takers for Bengal.
Replying, Bengal U-19 achieved the target in 26.1 overs losing their 3 wickets and scored 161 runs. Skipper Abishek Porel scored 74 runs off 46 balls with 9 boundaries and 3 sixes and Rohit Ram scored 42 runs off 73 balls with 4 boundaries were the main run-getters for the Bengal team. Emanjot Singh Chahal took 1 wicket for 22 runs, Harshdeep Singh took 1 wicket for 23 runs and Manroop Singh also took 1 wicket for 11 runs for Punjab CA.
Bengal won the match by 7 wickets and got 4 points , whereas Punjab got 0 points .
