Ludhiana, August 22, 2025: National BJP Leader and Patron Punjab Kalakar Manch (Regd.) Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan said with profound grief and a heavy heart, “I share the most heartbreaking news that my dearest friend, the legend of Punjabi Film Industry and world-renowned comedian Dr. Jaswinder Bhalla Ji has left us for his heavenly abode early this morning.”
At this time Punjab Kalakar Manch President Jaswant Sandeela, Chairman Palli Detwalia, Sukhwinder Sukhi, Veer Sukhwant, Balbir Singh Lehra including all Office Bearers stated that Dr. Bhalla was not only the king of Punjabi comedy but also the voice of truth and simplicity who brought smiles to millions of faces across the globe. From stage to cinema, from the villages of Punjab to international platforms, his unmatched humour, warmth, and wisdom made him a true global icon of Punjabi culture.
Grewal told that his passing is not just a personal loss but an irreparable void for the Punjabi film industry, Punjabi theatre, Punjabi music world, and every Punjabi household that cherished his timeless characters. He added that Dr. Bhalla Ji’s laughter was medicine, his satire was social reform, and his personality was larger than life.
Grewal further said, “On behalf of millions of Punjabis worldwide, I extend heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family, friends, fans, the Punjabi film fraternity, and all those who were touched by his art. The heavens may rejoice in his laughter today, but the earth has lost one of its brightest stars.”
Punjab Kalakar Manch (Regd.) also prayed that Waheguru Ji grant eternal peace to the noble soul of Dr. Jaswinder Bhalla Ji and give strength to his loved ones to bear this irreparable loss.
