Punjab invites applications under scholarship scheme 2013-14 from ex-servicemen and their wards

Chandigarh, October 17, 2013: The Punjab Government  has invited applications under Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme 2013-14 from Ex-servicemen and their wards.
Disclosing this here today Defence Services Welfare Department Chief Parliamentary Secretary Virsa Singh Valtoha said that Children those have passed 10+2 or Diploma or Graduation with 60 percent marks and have admission in professional course could apply for this scholarship.
Valtoha further said that Scholarship would be given Rs. 2250  per month to girls whereas Rs. 2000 per month would be given to  boys. He further said that such concerned eligible wards of the ex-servicemen could submit their application in a prescribed performa through their Defence Services Welfare office by November 30, 2013 positively.
Valtoha said that performa for application and other instructions could be down loaded from department website www.desw.gov.in
