Punjab govt fulfills long-pending demand as Minister Mundian hands over 5-marla residential plots 61 needy families
In a major boost to the social welfare, Punjab Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Sunday distributed 5-marla residential plots each to 61 needy and poor families in Bhupana village, Ludhiana district.
Ludhiana, December 21, 2025: In a major boost to the social welfare, Punjab Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Sunday distributed 5-marla residential plots each to 61 needy and poor families in Bhupana village, Ludhiana district.
Presiding over the event, Minister Mundian emphasized the Punjab government's unwavering commitment to social welfare, rural upliftment, and ensuring basic amenities for every household. "These residential plots are designed to provide marginalized families with a secure foundation, significantly improving their quality of life," he stated. He highlighted that the government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is prioritizing housing, sanitation, infrastructure, and livelihood support to drive inclusive growth across all districts. "This was a long-pending demand of these families, and the Punjab government has fulfilled it today," Mundian added.
In a further gesture of support, the Minister announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh for additional development works in the village. He stated that this initiative aligns with the state government's ongoing efforts to empower vulnerable sections of society and promote equitable progress in rural areas.
Mundian also stated that very soon, the Punjab government will soon launch an insurance scheme for every Punjabi ensuring cashless treatment worth Rs 10 lakh per family.
