Chandigarh, September 26, 2025: Olympian Sanjay, representing the Centre of Excellence, Hockey Chandigarh, was felicitated in a special meeting with Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria here at the Punjab Raj Bhavan. The Governor recognized Sanjay’s remarkable achievement of winning a gold medal at the Asia Cup 2025, calling it another shining milestone in his distinguished career.
Extending his best wishes, Governor Kataria lauded Sanjay’s journey from Chandigarh’s hockey academy to the international podium, describing it as a true inspiration for aspiring athletes across the region. He also praised the coach for his dedicated mentorship in nurturing talent with discipline and teamwork.
The felicitation meet was attended by President of Hockey Chandigarh, Karan Gilhotra, and Vice President Anil Vohra, who briefed the Governor about Sanjay’s journey and the role of the Chandigarh Centre of Excellence in producing world-class players.
