Punjab Government’s Commendable Initiative: Special Health Camps for Devotees

Chandigarh/Anandpur Sahib, November 24, 2025: The Punjab Government has arranged excellent health facilities for devotees attending the 350th martyrdom anniversary commemoration of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh visited these camps and praised the arrangements.

The special eye camp named ‘Nigha Langar’ set up by the government has examined the eyes of 5000 people so far. Of these, 2000 people were given free spectacles and 39 people underwent completely free cataract operations. This demonstrates the Punjab Government’s sensitivity towards the public.

39 Aam Aadmi Clinics have been opened in Anandpur Sahib, where the general public is receiving free medicines and examination facilities. On Sunday alone, 1822 patients received treatment and 174 lab tests were conducted. This facility is available 24 hours.

To deal with any emergency situation, 24-hour emergency and critical care services are operational in Ropar, Kiratpur Sahib and Anandpur Sahib. Additionally, 31 ambulances (24 basic and 7 advanced) are continuously deployed in service.

The Punjab Government has also organized special blood donation camps at the event venues, where people can serve humanity by donating blood. This initiative is a commendable step towards increasing health awareness in society.

This arrangement by the Punjab Government shows how serious the government is about public health. Facilities like free treatment, medicines, examinations and operations are no less than a boon for the poor and needy.

For any medical assistance, helpline number 98155-88342 can be contacted.

No amount of praise is enough for this public welfare initiative by the Punjab Government. This arrangement demonstrates that the government is prioritizing the health of every citizen.
