Punjab government to establish UPSC coaching centres: Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan

Khanna, (Ludhiana), April 28, 2025: Punjab Legislative Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Monday visited village Bhumaddi to honour Jaskaran Singh, who recently cleared the UPSC examination and became an IAS officer.

Sandhwan announced that the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government will soon open modern coaching centers for UPSC aspirants, aiming to increase Punjab’s representation in central services. He noted that many talented youth miss out due to migration abroad and lack of quality coaching. Led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government will provide free, high-quality training to help youth become IAS, IPS, IRS, and other officers. He also shared that IAS and IPS officers of Punjab will mentor students by visiting assigned government schools monthly to inspire and guide them.

Sandhwan also praised Jaskaran, who became an IRS officer at the age of 23 and an IAS officer at the age of 25 with a 240th rank, calling him an inspiration for Punjab’s youth.

IAS Jaskaran Singh also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan for honouring him.
