Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has decided to spend approximately Rs 29.08 crore on the development work of Ludhiana: Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar

Ludhiana, January 27, 2023: Local Government Minister, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that it has been decided to spend approximately Rs 29.08 crore on development works in Ludhiana District.

Local Government Minister, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the main objective of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is to provide basic facilities, clean and pollution free environment to the people of the state. Working in this direction, various development works are being conducted by the Punjab Government across the state.

Issuing a Press statement, Local government Minister, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar disclosed that Rs 27.67 crore will be spent on supply, installation, testing and commissioning of portable compactors for secondary storage and hook loaders for transportation of municipal solid waste for Municipal Corporation Ludhiana. Operation and Maintenance also included, he said. Similarly, Rs 66.76 lacs will be spent for implementation of surveillance infrastructure in court complex, DC office and associated areas.

Apart from this, He said that Rs 74.70 lacs will be spent for supply of ready mix road repair bituminous material for Central Store Municipal Corporation Ludhiana.

Minister said that large population of Ludhiana District will benefit from these development works. In this regard, the local government department has already started the office process.

Cabinet Minister said that the main priority of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is to provide a corruption-free administration to the people of the state. Therefore, he has given instructions that if any officer/employee is caught committing corruption, he will not be spared.

He has also instructed the officers of the department to ensure quality and transparency in development works.
