Chandigarh, October 16, 2025: Punjab is emerging as a new beacon of hope for investors, both domestic and international. Thanks to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's visionary leadership and progressive policies, the state is rapidly transforming into a new center for industrial development. Recently, the Chief Minister met with prominent industrialists in Bengaluru and extended an invitation for them to invest in Punjab. This meeting not only symbolizes the growing confidence in Punjab but also confirms the state's position as India's most reliable investment destination.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stated that investing in Punjab is now more than just a profitable transaction; it is an opportunity for a long-term partnership. Highlighting the state's pro-investment policies, seamless power supply, and complete governmental support, he assured industrialists that Punjab guarantees security, stability, and success. Today, Punjab offers an ideal environment of peace, harmony, and goodwill for every investor.
The Punjab government has taken numerous steps in recent years to realize "Ease of Doing Business." Industrial processes have been simplified, the approval system has been expedited, and transparent, technology-based governance has been implemented. As a result, over 123 reputed companies from India and abroad have proposed investments worth ₹1.23 lakh crore in Punjab to date. This achievement is a matter of pride for any state and is a testament to Punjab’s robust economy.
Addressing the industrialists in Bengaluru, the Chief Minister emphasized that Punjab’s available skilled human resources, world-class infrastructure, and renewable energy resources offer invaluable opportunities for industries. He asserted that the state’s youth power, modern outlook, and spirit of innovation are making Punjab the country's most dynamic industrial hub. Whether it is Textiles, Automobiles, Food Processing, or IT, Punjab is now playing a leading role in every sector.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann extended an invitation to the industrialists to attend the "Progressive Punjab Investors Summit" scheduled to be held in Mohali in March 2026. This summit will bring together investors, policymakers, and researchers to elevate Punjab's industrial development. He expressed confidence that Punjab would emerge as the leading state on India's industrial map in the coming years.
He stated that the Punjab government values the suggestions and innovations of industries. The government not only encourages investment but also takes the partnership with investors equally seriously. The Chief Minister said, "We want investors to see Punjab not just as a land of business, but as a land of trust and development."
The progress made by Punjab in the industrial sector over the past three years is remarkable. The state is now a leader in sectors like Food Processing, Textiles, Auto Components, Bicycle Manufacturing, Tourism, and IT. This development has not only accelerated the state's economy but has also created millions of job opportunities for the youth. The ₹1.23 lakh crore investment proposals are expected to generate an estimated 4.7 lakh new jobs—a major step towards realizing Chief Minister Mann's vision of 'Employment-Rich Punjab'.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Punjab is rapidly moving forward on the confluence of "Investment, Innovation, and Development." The state will now be known not only for its farming and greenery but also for industrial excellence and global competitiveness.
