Punjab constitutes 16-member Technical Education Board

Chandigarh, May 8, 2015: The Punjab Government today made nominations to the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training to draw up a futuristic comprehensive plan for boosting vocational education in the state.
Stating this, a spokesperson of the department said that in all, 16 persons have been nominated as members of the board for 3 year term. Giving details, the spokesperson said that the members included Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department, Industrialists Tarsem Lal Mittal and Anil Gupta, Principals of Giani Zail Singh Engineering and Technology College, Bathinda and Government Polytechnic College, Khunimajra, Principals of Rayat Bahra Polytechnic College Ropar and Government ITI, Ludhiana, Vice-Chancellor, IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Manjit Singh, Vice- Chairman, Doaba Polytechnic College , Kharar and Sudesh Kaushal, President of CII or their nominee, Sandeep Kaura (PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Chandigarh), President of National Association of Software and Services Companies or their Nominee, Anurag Aggarwal (Mohali Industrial Association), Gian Chand (Bathinda Chamber Of Commerce, Super Rubber Industries) and Inderjeet Singh Arora from Anandpur Sahib.
