Says paying lip-sympathy with the consent of Kejriwal is making mockery of Punjab

Punjab CM should have apologised to Moosewala family: Chugh

Chandigarh, June 3, 2022: BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh strongly condemned Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for paying lip sympathy to the bereaved family of Sidhu Moosewala by visiting them under heavy security cover five days after the brutal murder.

Chugh said such cosmetic exercises by the chief minister are simply a cover-up after the Punjab police has miserably failed to arrest the culprits so far, "The chief minister first committed a hara-kiri when he ordered withdrawal of security cover to Moosewala and now was covering up his government's failure to nab the culprits", he said.

Chugh said the chief minister made light of the entire exercise also because before going to Moosewala's house in Mansa he chose to go to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwala to take his permission.

He said in the last five days the only thing the chief minister has done to make and remake SIT, and when SITs failed to deliver he went to Moosewala family.

Chugh said he should have apologised to the family members of Moosewala for the security failure, but instead he just chose to express lip-sympathy amid wide uproar among people of the area.
