Punjab CM fulfills promise in record 11 days

Ludhiana, February 11, 2014: True to his stature being ‘man of word’ Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister Punjab, fulfilled the promise, he made to the public of District Ludhiana in record 11 days by dispatching the financial assistance for upgradation of schools and hospital infrastructure.
Parkash Singh Badal was in the district when he promised the public to finance the four school authorities for the upgradation of buildings and setting up of a new ICU at Civil Hospital.
Disclosing this here today, Rajat Aggarwal, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana said that CM made a visit to PAU and schools located at Haibowal Kalan, Cemetry road and Model Town. He said that during the visit CM personally felt the need for modern ICU at Civil Hospital. He had directed the authorities to send the proposals immediately.
Aggarwal further said that the total amount announced for the upgradation of schools was Rs.5 crore where as Rs.2 crore was announced for Civil Hospital. He said that as a first installment of Rs. 1 crore for the up gradation of school buildings and Rs. 50 lakh for the civil hospital has been received on February 10.
